Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-08
1. About this policy
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sits alongside our Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. It tells you what we expect of you when using Meridian. Breaching the AUP is a breach of the Terms and may result in suspension or termination, with no refund for breaches involving abuse, fraud, or unlawful conduct.
2. Things you must not do
Content you upload
- Do not upload screenshots or canvas content that infringes any intellectual property right (copyright, trademark, trade secret, etc.).
- Do not upload personally identifiable information (PII) — customer names, employee identifiers, government IDs, financial account numbers, health data, etc. — that you do not have authority to share with us and our AI vendors. Redact before uploading.
- Do not upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or that depicts violence, exploitation, or hate.
- Do not upload malware, exploit payloads, or content intended to abuse our AI vendors' safety filters.
Account behaviour
- One account per natural person. Do not share credentials.
- Do not impersonate another person, organisation, or affiliation.
- Do not use the platform on behalf of someone subject to economic sanctions that apply to us.
Platform integrity
- Do not probe, scan, or test the platform's vulnerability without our prior written consent. Responsible disclosure is welcome — see our security.txt.
- Do not interfere with the platform's availability — denial-of-service, traffic flooding, ratelimit evasion, etc.
- Do not reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the assessment algorithms, rubric weights, or model prompts.
- Do not scrape or mass-export Meridian content beyond the project-data export feature we provide.
Output usage
- Do not use Meridian output to train or fine-tune machine-learning models without our prior written consent.
- Do not pass off Meridian assessment output as your own original analysis when the original work and its limitations should be disclosed to your audience.
- Do not present an “AI assessment” or “certified” mark to a downstream party in a way that misrepresents what the certification covers (the certification is design + alignment against our rubric, not a guarantee of business outcome).
3. What we may do in response
If we believe you have breached this AUP we may, depending on severity:
- Ask you to stop and remediate (typically the first step for inadvertent breaches).
- Remove or disable specific content.
- Suspend your account temporarily while we investigate.
- Terminate your account for cause under section 11 of the Terms. Where the breach involves abuse, fraud, or unlawful use, no refund is payable.
- Report the conduct to law enforcement, our subprocessors, or a regulator where required.
4. Reporting a breach
If you see another user breaching this AUP, or you believe we are in breach of our own commitments, email hello@insights-2.com with enough detail for us to investigate.
5. Changes
We'll update the date at the top whenever we revise this policy. For material changes that adversely affect users, we'll give at least 30 days' notice.
